wrong layout?
- ⌃⌥K fixes the selected text — or, with nothing selected, the word before the cursor.
- ⌃⌥L converts the whole selection into one layout, or, with nothing selected, the text from the start of the line to the cursor, up to 500 characters; links, addresses and numbers stay as they are.
- ⌃⌥Z undoes a correction, and the menu then offers to never correct that word again — in this app or everywhere.
- ⌃⌥E on the plate after ⌃⌥K — never correct that word in this app again.
- While you type — suggestions and automatic correction (Pro): a plate offers the fix and ⌃⌥K takes it, and in Auto mode the word fixes itself.
- Accuracy is measured: over 4.6 million correctly typed words (Leipzig corpora in Ukrainian, Russian and English), automatic correction at the Balanced level — Pro’s default — wrongly changes about 3 words in 100,000 (about 7 without the system dictionary) and catches 90% of words typed in the wrong layout. That is a corpus measurement, not live typing.

The ⇧⌘V panel
- Search the whole history.
- Filter by type with ⌘T: all · text · images · files.
- Filter by the app it was copied from with ⌘S — Pro.
- ⌘1…⌘9 paste a row by number, ⌘↩ pastes it as plain text, ⌘P pins it.
- Space shows a clip in full; ⌘/ lists every key the panel knows.
- The paste queue, in Pro: mark several clips (⌘-click, ⇧↑/⇧↓) or start recording new copies, and ⌃⌥V pastes them one by one, in the order they were copied.
- Marked text clips merge into one with ⌃T: by a new line, a blank line, a comma or a space — in Pro.
- ⌘I shows what a text hides — Latin letters among Cyrillic ones, unusual spaces, invisible characters, line endings — and fixes them before pasting. In Pro.
- Mark two text clips and ⌘D shows what changed from the older to the newer: lines and characters, or, for two JSON documents, fields. In Pro.
- ⌘G searches a text clip in your browser, and a row’s menu (right-click) has “Search in the browser” and “Delete”. A clip that is one http(s) link opens as that link.
- Pick the search engine — Google, DuckDuckGo or Bing — in Settings, on the Clipboard tab.
- ⌘L opens the snippets in the panel — ⌘L again goes back to the history. A snippet without fields pastes at once with ↩, free.
- A snippet with fields is Pro: write {name} in the text and ↩ opens a card where Tab moves to the next field and the finished text shows before it is pasted. A name starts with a letter and may hold digits, spaces, apostrophes and hyphens, up to 32 characters; any other braces, like {"a":1}, stay text.
- In Pro a snippet can use {дата}, {час}, {курсор} and {буфер} (the English {date}, {time}, {cursor}, {clipboard} work too). The date and time use your system’s short format, {курсор} is where the caret lands after pasting, {буфер} is only a copy the history kept. The caret stays at the end in terminals and VS Code, with more than 500 characters after {курсор}, and when the text was only copied, not pasted.
- ⌘E on a text row of the history opens Settings on the Snippets tab with that text as a new snippet; images and files do not qualify. The tab is where snippets are written and edited, with the fields highlighted; there can be up to 500 snippets, each up to 64 KB. A snippet with fields can be saved without Pro.
In the menu bar
- The menu shows your last 12 clips and, on the right, how long ago each was copied.
- Hold ⌥ and every row becomes “View in Full…”.
- Hold ⌘⌥ and a text row becomes “Search: …”, which opens your browser; with ⌥⇧ any row becomes “Delete: …”.
Transforms ⌃⌥T
- ⌃⌥T transforms the selection: Base64 and URL encoding both ways, JSON with indentation, Unix time to a date, lines into one comma-separated line, words one per line.
- In the panel, ⌃T transforms a clip before pasting it.
- Text cleanup: extra spaces, line breaks from a PDF, lines into a paragraph, indentation, lines joined with “; ”, spaces, tabs or a blank line, splitting at commas, “;” or tabs.
- JSON with indentation also finds JSON in messy text: inside a code fence, a log line, a quoted string, or broken up by a chat app.
- SQL → formatted, in Pro: keywords in capitals, each clause on its own line, strings and comments left exactly as they were.
- Every transform in the menu shows the start of its result; in the panel a card shows the whole result before it is pasted.
- The eight built-in transforms are free; text cleanup and your own chains are Pro.

Every app,
its own rule.
- As everywhere — no rule of its own.
- Manual — only ⌃⌥K and ⌃⌥L; typing here is not watched.
- Hints — a correction is only offered; ⌃⌥K takes it.
- Auto — a correction applies itself.
- Off — Klavuni reads and corrects nothing here.
- Manual, Hints and Auto for a single app are Pro; As everywhere and Off are free.
- “Keep copied text” decides whether what you copy in that app goes into the history.
- Terminals get hints only, and that cannot be changed: text put there could run as a command.

Passwords skip the history
What password managers mark as concealed, Klavuni does not read at all, and copying from 1Password, Bitwarden, KeePassXC and others is off from the start.
Looks like a secret? Not kept
API tokens and keys, card numbers and IBANs are not stored: the history keeps a “blocked” row with no text. No filter catches everything.
Password fields: silence
When macOS turns on secure input, live correction stays quiet, and ⌃⌥K, ⌃⌥L and ⌃⌥T refuse before reading any text.
Online only for updates
Once a day Klavuni reads klavuni.com/appcast.xml, sending no system profile, and installs an update only when you agree. The app makes no other request.
Free does not watch your keys
⌃⌥K reads the text before the cursor, not a log of keystrokes. Input Monitoring is needed only for suggestions and automatic correction while you type.
{буфер} is only what the history kept
A snippet’s {буфер} takes only a copy the history kept: a password from a password manager, a copy from an app where copies are not kept, or a text that looks like a secret is not pasted — the field comes out empty.

A few good answers.
How do I install it?
Open the DMG, drag Klavuni to Applications and start it from there: started from the disk image itself, it keeps none of its permissions. The DMG is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
Which macOS do I need?
macOS 26 or later.
Which layouts does Klavuni know?
The macOS Ukrainian layout in three variants — standard, Legacy and QWERTY — English ABC / U.S., and the Russian layouts.
Which permissions does it need?
Accessibility, to read and replace the selection. Input Monitoring only for suggestions and automatic correction while you type. For the clipboard history, macOS asks whether Klavuni may paste from other apps.
How do I turn correction off?
In the Klavuni menu: “Pause for 15 min”, “Pause until I turn it back on”, or untick “Correct in “…”” for the current app. A pause stops correction while you type; ⌃⌥K still works.
How does it update?
Klavuni checks for updates once a day and offers the new version; nothing is installed without your consent.
What happens to the text I enter in the demos and the converter?
The demos on this page and the layout converter run only in your browser: neither sends your text anywhere or reads your clipboard. “Copy” writes only the result to your clipboard, and “Copy link” only the page’s address. Your theme choice is kept only in your browser. There are no analytics. The page loads no third-party script until you press “Buy Pro” or open a Paddle payment link (an address with ?_ptxn=): then Paddle.js loads from Paddle’s servers and Paddle opens the checkout.
